Toyota Corolla Base Man. 2019
With permission of the GR-Sport, this is the most aggressive version of the Toyota Corolla 2021 we have seen so far, but they have two drawbacks: one is that it is only available as a limited edition to 1,500 units and the second, that for now will be marketed exclusively in the US. That’s why it goes with the surname 2021, a trick that is used there to sneak models as newer even than they are.
In any case, the 2021 Toyota Corolla you can see in the photos has Supersonic Red paint, with 18-inch black wheels. The body kit is also, clearly more aggressive than the current model as it includes a sporty front diffuser, side skirts, black rear spoiler, a rear bumper garnish and special edition badge.
At the front, we find slim J-shaped twin-blade LED headlights that wrap around the front fenders. The taillights are also fully LED. Although, perhaps, what we like most is the mechanics planned by Toyota for this 2021 Corolla in the U.S.: a 2.0-liter Dynamic Force engine and 168 hp.
The engine also features dual VVT-i (variable valve timing intelligence), with VVT-iE (variable valve timing intelligence by electric motor) on the intake side and VVT-i on the exhaust. VVT-iE uses an electric motor instead of oil pressure to control variable valve timing.
It has seven airbags and Toyota’s Star safety system that includes enhanced vehicle stability control, traction control, electronic brake force distribution, brake assist, anti-lock braking system and Smart Stop technology.

– Advertisement -The all-new 2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback, makes its debut at the 2018 New York International Auto Show. The hatchback, in SE or XSE versions, is trying to make a big impression. With its long list of standard features including Entune 3.0 with Apple CarPlay and Amazon Alexa Connectivity; a sport-tuned suspension and new Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) platform; and the first North American implementation of Toyota Safety Sense 2.0, Corolla Hatchback strikes a resonant chord among drivers who value authenticity, utility, practicality and style.
With these concepts in mind, Toyota Corolla Hatchback is a meticulously blended cocktail of emotive lines, creases and surfaces. It is lower (by 1.0 in.), wider (by 1.2 in.) and longer (by 1.5 in.) than its predecessor, Corolla iM. It also has wider front and rear tracks, and a longer wheelbase.
The differentiation between SE and XSE is distinct. Both grades get LED headlights and taillights, chrome rear diffuser and alloy wheels. XSE ups the ante with 18-inch wheels, LED fog lamps, chrome front grille surround and an available innovative adaptive front lighting system (AFS). AFS, available only on XSE CVT, allows for focused distribution of light in an area that matches vehicle speed and steering angle. The Bi-Beam LED units move vertically and horizontally to provide optimum light output by analyzing steering angle, vehicle speed and the angle of the vehicle’s longitudinal axes to adjust the lamps.
