Mendocino nightstand

This well-hidden town wasn’t always so charming and quiet: during the logging boom of the mid- to late 1800s, Mendocino was bustling with people and commerce, a thriving port full of saloons and bustling hotels. Now, luxurious accommodations welcome you and invite you to curl up by the fire; restaurants serve freshly caught seafood and local organic wines; and galleries showcase high-end artwork and crafts. Festivals are many and often celebrate the bounty of the region, whether it’s sweet Dungeness crab, craft beers or mushrooms in winter.

To tour the rest of the town, much of it protected as a National Historic Preservation District, take a two-hour walking tour (which the Kelley House Museum offers on weekends); museum guides share their knowledge of key residences, gathering places, and early businesses (self-guided walking tours with audio are also available for Android users).

The apartment is located in a modern neighborhood, very quiet as it is in a dead end street and from 8pm to 8am it is protected by private security personnel. Additionally it has a garage (free of charge) and the main highway that goes to the city is only 2 blocks away. This highway only takes 3 minutes to get to the heart of Mendoza.
