But one of the most awaited by the faithful of the Virgin was the torchlight rosary, celebrated last night. Thousands of people gathered at the shrine to pray, at 11 pm, a solemn and sung rosary in which the devotees held candles and illuminated the meters of esplanade surrounding the temple.
Following this tone and from 9 p.m. the Bishop of Ourense, Leonardo Lemos, officiated an act of prayer in the sanctuary asking for peace in the world, prior to the procession and the rosary of torches that he also presided.
