The side, as in all cases of mid-life restyling of regional cars, did not undergo major changes, except for the 15-inch alloy wheels model. Some chrome trim applied in different parts of the bodywork highlight that this is the fullest version of the model.

Inside, the change is also subtle, but with successes. The upholstery, now with molded fabric and with central inserts in almost metallic gray, bring a little more light to a rather sober interior, which errs on the side of conservatism. We understand this in large $60,000 sedans, but it seems a bit sad in a car of these characteristics and at the lower end of the market. A bit more color, or more contrasts, without excess, would be nice.

It is not understood why Volkswagen made a return to the illumination of the central display in red, when in previous models already incorporated the white tone of illumination, as have all other models of the brand. Also changed were the levers that command the turn signals and windshield wipers behind the steering wheel. Now, separates the central key lights on the plate, to the left of the driver, as is customary in Volkswagen cars. Much more comfortable.
